My 2020 plant wishlist

On Instagram, I keep seeing the hashtag ‘myplantwishlist2020’, where people post a collage of plants they would like to get this year. Fun! But I thought, let’s instead make a blogpost out of it. So I sat down and started to think about which plants I really want to add to my collection. The following list is the result:

1. Philodendron Micans

The Philodendron Micans is high up on my list. Last year I got a cutting of this plant, but sadly she didn’t make it. So sad because I really love this plant… the red backsides and the velvet feel; absolutely stunning!

2. String of Pearls

I once owned a String of Pearls, that didn’t make it. I do know what went wrong at the time, so I would like to try again. I also have a String of Hearts, which is one of my favourite plants and though it’s a totally different plant, I guess they’re sort of similar. So I would like to get one.

3. Calathea Orbifolia

I think the Calathea Orbifolia is one of the most beautiful Calathea out there. Sadly I’ve only come across this plant in very big sizes. And I just ain’t got space for that. So I hope to find this in a smaller size one day!

4. Spiral Cactus

I think the spiral cactus is so cool! The shape of it is just really special if you ask me. I haven’t really seen it around anywhere but I hope to come across it soon because boy she pretty!

5. Alocasia Zebrina

You might think ‘hey, but you already have one’… Sadly, my beautiful Zebrina is on her deathbed. I am going to try and save her, but I don’t have much hope I’ll succeed, to be honest. So that’s why it’s on my wishlist. I just love this plant so much!

Mooi wenslijstje!
